When you visit this website

This website is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open a page, your browser sends technical data: your IP address, the date and time, the page you requested, the referring page, and your browser and operating system.

Cloudflare processes these data on our behalf to deliver the website and to protect it from attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and reliable website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We have a data processing agreement with Cloudflare. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which covers transfers to the USA. We do not use these data to identify you.

Cookies, fonts and statistics

This website sets no cookies of its own and uses no tracking or advertising tools. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie to tell visitors from automated traffic (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, § 25(2) TDDDG).

To see how often pages are visited, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookies, does not store anything on your device and does not build user profiles or follow you across websites. A small script from Cloudflare (static.cloudflareinsights.com) reports the page you opened, the referring page, your browser and device type, your approximate country and how fast the page loaded. Your IP address is not stored for this purpose. We only see aggregated numbers. Cloudflare processes these data on our behalf under the data processing agreement mentioned above. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the website is used (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

All fonts are stored on this website. Apart from the Cloudflare statistics script, your browser does not connect to font providers or any other third party when you view a page.

When you contact us

The contact form does not send data to our server. It opens your own email program with your message filled in, and you decide whether to send it. When you write to us by email, we process what you send, such as your name, email address, company and message, to reply and, where relevant, to prepare an offer (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Our email is hosted by Zoho Corporation B.V. (Netherlands) on servers in the European Union, under a data processing agreement. We delete messages once they are no longer needed, unless statutory commercial or tax retention periods require longer storage. Depending on the type of document, these periods are six, eight or ten years.

Your rights

You have the right to access your personal data (Art. 15 GDPR), to have it corrected (Art. 16), deleted (Art. 17) or its processing restricted (Art. 18), to receive it in a portable format (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21). You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit.
