Start from the decision, not the data
The first question is never “what can we do with this data?” It is “which decision needs to improve, and who makes it?” Everything else follows from that.

The simplest useful change wins
A better threshold, a clearer rule or a small tool that fits the daily workflow often does more than a sophisticated model nobody uses.

Analysis is done when someone can act
Findings need an owner, a next step and a way to tell whether it worked. That is part of the work, not an afterthought.
